Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place Live event in aid of the charity Mind was a unique day, which gave guests the chance to learn more about the different ways they can make their life healthier and more balanced. Featuring an exciting line-up of yoga and dance classes, breathing workshops, expert talks and more, this event provided the ultimate health and wellbeing atmosphere to get everyone involved and feeling more relaxed.
Here’s five reasons to rave about the event celebrating all things happiness and wellbeing:
1. The Coconuts
The Vita Coco room made a worthwhile visit for anyone crazy about coconuts. From smoothie-powered bikes to whizz up coconut water fruit smoothies, DIY coconut yoghurt bowls to top with all the fresh berries, nuts and seeds imaginable, a Barista to whizz up the frothiest coconut lattes, to ‘From The Husk to The Milk’ demonstrations explaining the origins of coconut water, milk and oil, these activities provided a great opportunity for guests to mingle and learn more about wonders of this mighty fruit.
2. The Classes
For those looking to get down dog, the dedicated yoga and meditation space was the place to be. With yoga classes from Zephyr Wildman and breathing workshops from Rebecca Dennis, guests were encouraged to restore their zen while also learning new ways to remain calm and collected in their everyday lives. On top of this, Danielle Peazer offered a unique high-intensity cardio dance class for those looking to work up a sweat. From all of us at the Vita Coco office, we can confirm that the song played during this class - Body (ft. Brando) by Loud Luxury - has been in our heads ever since!
3. The Talks and a Podcast
Throughout the day, experts such as Dr Pixie McKenna got guests' brains buzzing through her innovative discussions with Fearne on the hot-topic of stress. Additionally, a live episode of Fearne’s Happy Place podcast with Davina McCall gave guests the opportunity to connect and gain an insight into Fearne and Davina's personal mental health journeys, covering how they deal with the pressures of being in the spotlight and importantly make time for mindfulness and exercise in their busy routines as mothers, presenters and public figures. These experiences really hit home the connection between health and happiness.
4. Immersive activities
A chance to get down on the dance floor in a silent disco, go live on your Instagram feed confessing what makes you happy and paint a giant wall mural left guests and their loved ones feeling inspired to invest in their future wellbeing and happiness.
5. The People You’ll Meet
On top of a group of well-known London influencers and experts in the field of health and wellbeing and namely our brand ambassador and Great British Bake-Off Winner, Selasi Gbormittah, the core premise of the event was to bring together anyone with a passion for mindfulness and healthy living.
Overall, Happy Place Live offered the best of London's mindfulness world under one roof featuring a not-to-be-missed line-up of wellbeing experts, fitness fanatics and delicious food with everything from smoothies and coconut lattes to popcorn and peanut butter energy balls. On that note - keep your eyes peeled for follow up events in the future - you'd be (coco)nuts to miss out!
