Not much! Our original coconut water contains 45 calories per serving.

Is Vita Coco kosher?

Yup—kosher and K-star certified.

Are Vita Coco beverages pasteurized?

Yes! After coconuts are harvested, washed, and cracked open, the liquid inside is flash-pasteurized and then packaged in a Tetra Pak. Flash pasteurization helps preserve the best natural flavor and nutrients, kill potentially harmful bacteria, and make Vita Coco coconut water shelf-stable for up to 12 months.

What is coconut oil?

Coconut oil is an edible oil extracted from the meat of mature coconuts. Ours is organic and cold-pressed, and it’s great for cooking, baking, and dozens of beauty and wellness needs.

Does coconut oil expire? How long does coconut oil last?

In its packaging, and stored in a cool, dry place, our coconut oil lasts about 2 years on average.

Do you refrigerate coconut oil?

Nope—just store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

What does “unrefined” mean?

Some brands “refine” their coconut oil, meaning that they chemically process and bleach dried coconut meat before extracting the oil. We don’t. Vita Coco is cold-pressed and chemical free, which makes it “unrefined.”

Wait, is it solid or liquid?

Both! Coconut oil solidifies in temperatures below 77 degrees F (23 degrees C).
